Nothing written, but I did do some editing and found that about half a page was missing. It was still in my Alpha Smart so I had no trouble pasting it back in. Phew. Could have been much worse.

Also worked on the covers. Having a hard time with one of the figures. I finally settled on a good pose but when I tried to remove the background, I ran into all sorts of problems caused by her wearing a gray sweater and the background being shades of gray. Spent way too much time on it and this was just the mock-up. I haven't even bought the images yet.

3254 words today on the main book. Still haven't touched the short story with the cat pirates/merkitties this week, really need to make time for that because it's due at the end of the month and I want time to polish it.

You must be feeling better.  Grin

Slowly, yes. I'm also gaining momentum so it's easier to write even when I'm not feeling in top shape. 2676 words today.

I am targeting the same list of authors I always have.

Wouldn't it be more effective to target readers?  :hehe

That just flew right over everybody's head, Dan.

Say it will be your birthday present.  And Christmas too, if necessary?

That's really not a bad price, especially since you don't see a lot of complete sets and some sellers won't ship it from the UK. And it would be amazingly helpful to have. Really.  :icon_rolleyes:

Congrats!

Anything above a 2% CTR is considered a win, right?

To Dan's question, BookBub ads are built on targeting the 'readers' of specific authors. They define 'readers' as anyone who has interacted at BookBub with anything to do with that author. It's frequently a number that is at least twice as many of the publicly shown 'followers', and the only way to see the 'readers' number is to go into the ad setup system.

I did not know that, thanks.  So fourteen followers x 2 = slightly less pathetic?

I guess you could start an ad to yourself and see what it gives you.

Edit - and I just did it.  Try it, it's fun.  2881 "followers"  So a factor of 200.
I never did very well with Bookbub ads so I'm not really concerned but I think they should call it something other than followers, if it's not followers.

I am also looking longingly at a 1908 set of Paul Balfour's Scots Peerage, 9 volumes, for only $548. Sometimes an addiction to research is a bit like a heroin addiction.   :icon_cry:

As a bargain hunter I will support you in this.

Research is always better with a book (or 9) in your hand.
