Worthy of discussion but probably not in a lighthearted thread such as this.

I'm not gay. But I may have a crush on Gervais.

Adding to what others have posted upthread about the toilet paper and paper plates:
She carries a large purse and takes the extra toilet paper rolls from public restrooms.
Also, takes plastic forks, spoons, and knives from fast food places to use later when they go on a picnic. The ketchup & mayo packets too.
This behavior could lead to a debate about what is considered to be petty theft vs. Just taking one extra thing.

Sat down to do my 50 and wrote 135, then realized it was supposed to be 100 now, so whew. :D

Coulda been bad tomorrow if I hadn't realized it til then. I might have had to cheat. :D

"...he'd order McDonalds into the White House."

So would I. I'd take the freakin' motorcade through the drive-thru.   grint

Life events can be  terrible -- I got hit by a doozy (doozie?) of one at the end of October. Congrats on getting yourself back on track. I had to chortle when I first saw you posting way back when, because one of the MCs in my first series is called Virginia McClain. She's awesome, and I'm sure you are, too.

You named a character after me? ;-) Glad she's awesome. One of us should be.

Yeah, life events just keep coming these days, but we're muddling through. I managed to get all my books out on time, and my in person book launch went well, as did the Con I attended in mid November. Also, my first book is a finalist in SPFBO5 so I'm feeling pretty good about all things writing related at the moment.

Just wish there was something I could do about my parents' health. *sighs*

Good to see you again!

2,952 words yesterday.

I had to work on 3 different books to get that many, though. But I'm definitely getting close to the end on one. :D

Humor in cheapness can be shown by the comments of other characters.

"He's so cheap..."

"...he wouldn't spend a nickel to see a p1ss-ant eat a bale of hay."
"...he wouldn't spend a nickel to see the Statue of LIberty take a dump."
"...he'd order McDonalds into the White House."

Cheap is trying to save money at the expense of others in a way that shows selfishness or an unseemly level of self-interest. In my opinion. :D

I think they're also called a*sholes.
