Is this a spam email?

I got one that said it's from Amazon advertising and the subject is "Your Amazon Invoice TRN..."

It said it came from [email protected]

I'm afraid to open it. I can't remember getting one before. If anyone knows, thanks for the help.

Ha! I had that same "is this spam" reaction when I got mine too!

I took the chance and clicked the attachment. It's legit. An invoice for AMS ads. Just make sure you double check that the sending email address is good before clicking.

I got one too. It charged me $44.29 for a campaign that had one click for $.14. Said it was for "Other Charges and Adjustments." I've written back demanding an explanation, if I don't get it I will file a dispute with Mastercard. I checked my Payments section on the AMS site, and yup, they charged me $44.29 for one $.14 click.

That's crazy! I wouldn't pay that, either. Someone made a mistake, or it's some kind of spam, though that doesn't seem likely. I've never heard of people getting an email invoice before, though.

I had "other charges and adjustments" on my first invoice too, but when I scrolled all the way to the bottom, they did list out the detail for it. If you've scrolled through the entire invoice without seeing that detail, though, then there is definitely a problem.

Mine was a single ad that I didn't have listed in a portfolio.

And Timothy: Yes, these are new to me too. That's why I thought it was Spam!

Oh Jeez, Mammasan, thank you for posting that. I'll have to check closely. I turned off the last of my AMS ads a couple of weeks ago. I don't think I'll go back.

They charged me correctly. $2.21 for June 9-17. Why would they send an invoice for an eight day period. I'm turning off my credit card on AMS if I can figure out how to do it.

Edit - nope, you can't delete the card.  I put a crap CCV number in to disable it.

I've been getting them for a few months now, too. The mail is legit. The actual charges? Somebody sits in a room at Amazon and throws a dart at the board, and that's what we get charged.
