My First BookBub & New Release Stats/Report

Hi everyone! I was never a frequent poster on KB, but I was a frequent lurker. I think this is as good a post as any to start my foray into the new forum, maybe to help with some data/launch stats. I know I've always loved reading BookBub threads and seeing other people's successes, so what the heck!

First off, two weeks ago I found out my one and only box set was getting a coveted US Bookbub on October 5. It had an International one the month before, and book 2 in the series had an International one in July, so this is my first US one. Needless to say, I was ecstatic. My books are historical mysteries but they placed me in supernatural suspense, which has a 1200-sales average, according to BB.

I was planning on releasing the first book in a new, urban fantasy series around October 1, so this gave me great incentive to release ON the day of my BB. I hurried into action, emailed my newly developed 48-crew ARC team, put the first book on pre-order on Sept. 27, and booked a whole lot of author swaps (16 throughout the first two weeks of release) and newsletter promos (12-14). I also put book 2 of the new release on pre-order for Nov 1, and Book 3 will go on pre-order when that one comes out. (This is my first time trying a rapid release schedule, too.) 

I hoped this Bookbub + new release combo would really jumpstart my budding author career, and so far I must say, I'm jubilant! As of 5:10 p.m. PST my box set, Of Witches and Werewolves, is sitting at #123 overall in the Amazon US store, and it's made me the #60 and #82 best-selling historical fiction and mystery writers, respectively.    Also, my new book, The Myth Seeker, has cracked the top 5k on its first day. Weeee.

Thank you! ^_^ it was pretty insane, 1209 total sales that day, boxset was seven spots from cracking the top 100, and I was the #38 Historical Fiction and #46 mystery writer for a while... :P my only concern was the low page read turnout for the new book, but I hope it'll jump when I put the book at $2.99. I've heard UF is supposed to do well in KU!
