For those of you who have not yet tried BookFunnel, I've found it to be a very good source of newsletter signups. Indeed, something like 90% of my new signups come from promos there.
If you're just starting out, this promo is also open to comparative newcomers who may not yet have much of a mailing list. Just share with what audience you do have (social media, etc.) We all have to start somewhere. All you need is a short story or a sample from a longer book (labeled as such) to use as a reader magnet. Some people even use full backlist novels, though that's much less common.
