I’m passionate about helping people to gain confidence in public speaking knowing how much it helped me. After begging the compere not to ask me to make a speech when I won my first writing award I realised it was time to get some training and I ended up becoming a trainer. YOU are now my target readership so I would appreciate your thoughts.
There are hundreds of books on public speaking so trying to find a title and sub-title that hasn’t already been done, and will stand out from the rest, is quite a task.
This is the proposed new title and sub-title.

PUBLIC SPEAKING – Get Your Butterflies Flying in Formation

Practical and detailed tips, techniques and anecdotal stories from experienced speakers to put you at ease in everyday public speaking situations. It’s the only guide you’ll ever need.

What would you expect the book to do for you? Are there other key words that I could include that would persuade you to read the book?

If anyone would like a free PDF copy of the book I am happy to let you have one if you message me with an address. You don’t have to read the whole thing as it’s a book you can dip in and out of and I am NOT expecting a review!

PUBLIC SPEAKING – Get Your Butterflies Flying in Formation

That appeals to me, but it's unlikely I'll ever do any in the future.
Genres: Space Opera/Fantasy/Cyberpunk, with elements of LitRPG and GameLit, with a touch of the Supernatural. Also Spiritual and Games.

What happens if someone asks you to give a eulogy? Do you know what to do? What if you are asked to do an interview or give a talk on your books? Do you know how to propose a toast?  Grin

I like it! I am not, however, a fan of the word "get."  Maybe imply the content/results with:

PUBLIC SPEAKING – Are Your Butterflies Flying in Formation?

Thanks.  :Tup2:
I want the title to let readers know what the book is going to teach them, so I'm not sure about changing it into a question. I could say 'How to get your butterflies... but that is going down the hackneyed 'how to' route. I'm open to other ideas.

Thanks, everyone. :Tup2:

I've been Googling (as we do :icon_rolleyes:) how to title non-fiction books and have made a few tweaks.

PUBLIC SPEAKING – Getting Your Butterflies Flying in Formation

Practical, bite-sized tips, techniques and fun anecdotal stories from seasoned speakers to put you at ease in everyday public speaking situations. It’s the only guide you’ll ever need.

Can anyone come up with another word instead of Get or Getting? Teaching or Guiding Your Butterflies to fly in formation?

I will ask the cover artist to do a pic of a speaker showing butterflies flying in formation in his/her stomach. The book is for everyday speaking situations, including eulogies. Should I keep the coffin and congregation on the cover to illustrate the 'everyday' speaking situation? Most people will be asked to give a eulogy at some time or other.
