Another Day, Another AI Copyright Infringement Lawsuit
« on: September 09, 2025, 04:38:54 AM »
Now Warner Brothers is suing Midjourney AI over copyright infringement.

The lawsuit alleges that Midjourney AI reproduces Warner Brothers' characters even without prompting for those specific characters.

So much for arguments that AI will only infringe upon copyright if specifically prompted to do so.  And, again, if AI can reproduce copyrighted material without specifically prompting for it, unless you are familiar with every copyrighted work in existence, you would have no way to know if the output you got was copyrighted or not.

Anyway, let's hope these AI companies have to start paying through the nose for their massive and willful copyright infringement.
"To err is human but to really foul things up requires AI."
