WriGolf!

Writer's Golf or WriGolf is a performance oriented game similar to X words per day clubs only that there is also a physical aspect (health) involved, similar to the golf game. Hence, I didn't post this thread in the games section.

Now, what is the physical aspect? You need to walk around the "golf course" as you type. You can sit and type, or, stand and type, or even, walk and dictate if you want! Your "course" can be a park, a garden, a beach...any outdoor space large enough to walk around, preferably with benches. You need to write using the combination of sitting and standing.

Your playing kit can have: laptop, tablet, Smartphone, traditional notebook with pen or pencil. You also need to wear a Smartband, or, stash a pedometer in your pocket for measuring calories burnt. So these are your "playing equipments".

Any number of authors can play together. Ideal would be two. You need to set a starting time and an ending time for the game. You can also have small breaks in between the game. This is for refreshing yourself, say for snacking, or say, to drink some juice or water. So, you can bring lunch boxes in your backpack if you want. The word count and the calories burnt count is noted down by each player before the end of the interval breaks. Importantly, the word count and the calories burnt count is noted at the end of the game which may last for any number of hours in a day.

So, at the end of the game, each player (writer) will have to declare the word count and the calories burnt count.

The rewards:

The writer with lesser word count will need to do an edit pass (all that was written during the game) for the writer who has written more.

Similarly, the writer who has burnt fewer calories has to buy dinner for the writer who has burnt more calories!

In case of a tie, the players can have a 10 minute session to determine the winner.
