Marketing advice for pandemic novel
« on: June 02, 2021, 10:58:56 PM »
Just released my pandemic novel, a cross-genre story for which I’d appreciate some cross-genre marketing advice.

Wrote The Prince of Cowards https://amzn.to/3ia7sbs to relieve the boredom of quarantine and to fight off the frightfulness of daily dodging the covid angel of death.  A fantasy/space opera/sword&sorcery parody, ie, Conan stumbling through a Monty Python world.  Joins the universe of my Kipling space opera parody An Earthman Born which lost me a trad contract, cost an acquisitions editor his job and contributed to the collapse of a new publishing house.  I have somewhat higher hopes for Prince.
But I’m struggling to find a key to AMS-marketing for a story that crosses three genre and  :help.

Disclaimer - I'm done with AMS, forever. Seriously guys, if you ever hear me say different hunt me down and kill me.

I suggest you start with what Amazon says are related items or also boughts, once they are up.

I'm thinking the fine for my dancing naked in Times Square to draw attn to my books would be less than I lose on AMS, so may try it.

BTW, should mention The Prince of Cowards is free on the Zon this wknd.  But only for readers w/a taste for lunacies.

I'm so old I remember when being naked in Times Square wouldn't have even gotten a second look.

I grabbed the book. Don't know if I will read it but happy to help your rank inch up a little.
