Made this one myself. I wrote and play the harp music. Did all the remake of graphics from the cover. Now I hire people to make my book trailers.

This is the trailer to my ebook, which is FREE tonight, tomorrow and Sunday!  Can we say that?  (If not, I'll delete this part.)

ETA:  Also posting this one. I'm working on the second book in the series right now!

I have so many trailers & it feels wrong to swamp the page with them so if anyone is interested, here's a YouTube link to them :)

My wife is a professional opera singer. She wrote and performed the music using a libretto that I wrote in the Elvish conlang for the series, and used an ancient Norse vocal technique called kuhlning. Because that's how we roll around here: drinking wine in the studio, singing in Elvish and banging on Tibetan prayer bowls. Really, it was just another Saturday.

This is really cool: when my wife was learning kuhlning this past summer, this happened.

Wait for it . . .

And yes, I'm married to an actual elf.

I've never really seriously considered having a video made before (I'm not qualified to do it myself). Do you who have one find that they help boost your sales? Do you use them for FB ads? I'd love to hear more about your experiences with them.

I find that with FB ads using the video, most people never watch the whole thing.

They do, however, get a huge amount of views on my website. We direct most of our advertising toward the site (whenever possible; i.e., we can't direct AMS ads to the site), and we've determined by site traffic that the videos are a key component toward building series branding and buzz.

Really, though, we did this because we own a recording studio and we had a free weekend and a couple of bottles of wine left over from a party the weekend before.

"Hey, didn't you learn Viking yodeling a few weeks ago?"

"Why, yes, I did."

"What if you used that to sing in Elvish?"

"That could work. Do you have a libretto?"

"Not yet, but we have wine."

Here is my brand new book trailer (filmed in Winchester).
P.S. @Joseph Malik: Congratulation to marrying an elf! The video with the deer is AMAZING! :-)
