Turning Off Animated GIFs (Moving Pictures)

For those that don't like animated GIFs, some browsers will let you turn off animated GIFs without turning off images altogether.

In Firefox, which is the browser I use, I just tried changing the "image.animation_mode" from "normal" to "none" as described in the first link above and it worked.  All the animated GIFs show up as static images.
