I installed Windows 10 on top of the Windows 8, which was in turn installed on top of 7.

I’ve had zero issues with 10. It’s the most stable computer I’ve used. It’s so close to the previous versions I can’t even remember the differences.

I'm still on win 8.1 on my main machine, but my games machine has win 10.

In the past, I've done all the upgrades, and with some spectacular exceptions which were solved by the next computer, not had many problems with upgrading.

My games computer, though I haven't had any problems with it, has features which drive me mad. It's always telling me things I dont give a sh*t about. It's always trying to get my attention about something brainless.

And it always updates without my permission. And it's this last that bothers me the most. I dont like anything updating without my permission and not on my timing. Nothing worse than turning the machine on, and having to wait 15 minutes while it does an update you cant stop. Just not on. Fortunately, I dont use it enough to be a major problem. But it has stopped me upgrading my main tablet.

If and when I'm forced to go win 10, the first thing I will be looking for is turning off the auto updates.

Otherwise, my win 10 looks almost identical to my win 8, but I use the old desktop exclusively.
Genres: Space Opera/Fantasy/Cyberpunk, with elements of LitRPG and GameLit, with a touch of the Supernatural. Also Spiritual and Games.
