That was fast

I applied for a $35 Ereader News Today (ENT) promo yesterday for my perma-free first-in-series, and they accepted this morning.

Last time I used them for a freebie on this title I got about 550 downloads, so it'll be interesting to see whether that's changed with my new improved covers (and hopefully improved blurb.)

Anyway, just a heads-up in case anyone wants to use ENT to boost their countdown/perma free. I've applied with 2 different books in 2 weeks and both were accepted pretty quickly, so perhaps their queue isn't as full as it used to be?

Back in the day they were one of the first promo sites around, and I still have fond memories of a 2011/2012 promo which had thousands of downloads.

I recently ran an ENT recently, but I did it on the same day as Genrepulse and Bookdoggy, so it's hard to say how many downloads came from ENT only. I had 1,078 that day, on a YA contemporary fantasy. Would love to see your results!

Good results!

I reckon I got between 250-300. (Had some other stuff running also.)

However, I only booked the regular $35 ENT, and afterwards I wondered whether they offered a 'book of the day' feature for more $, which might be what I used last time.

I have a fussy librarian promo tonight my time on the same book ($14)

Also, I just set up a BB ad for my space opera, with a button that says 'Free in KU'. I've seen that on other titles in BB ads, so I guess it's not misleading.

Okay, Fussy Librarian was half the price and gave me twice the downloads of ENT, so that's a useful one.

Also, today I noticed that FreeBooksy just gave me a complimentary boost for my perma-free. (I did use them recently for a paid promo, but to get a freebie like this was nice.)

I've been working on yWriter7 - almost ready for prime time now. Better RTF support, better epub and mobi creation, better Latex export to create paperbacks.

I've also done a lot of work on omnibus creation - exporting just the body of the text from a novel, then importing it as part of a box set.

Added commandline switches too, so you can run a batch file to export a bunch of books without having to open, export and close projects manually.

I'm currently working on the Android and IOS versions, adding support for the new YW7 project format.
