Not as far as I know.

And there should be. In fact, I still think KU should have its own set of rank charts, with sales and KU rank shown next to each other on the product pages, and the top 100 being separate.

That way people wanting a genuine best SELLING book can find one, and those wanting the best READING KU books can also find them.

At the moment, the merged rank chart helps no-one but the scammers.
Genres: Space Opera/Fantasy/Cyberpunk, with elements of LitRPG and GameLit, with a touch of the Supernatural. Also Spiritual and Games.

I'm just trying to figure out how anyone can find my books, other than the sponsored ads. This is crazy.

Yet, some people are reading my books. Not a lot of people, but some are finding them. It must be a nightmare for readers.

It is for me. I've not actually bought a new book which wasn't in an existingly read series, all year.

Used to be I could start on one of my own book pages, and find 6 samples to download in a matter of minutes, of which I'd buy at least 2. Now, I cant find anything because what's being shown or emailed simply isn't what I'm looking for.

I have always wondered if traditional publishers actually pay for placement in the bestseller lists. Probably not. We would hear about it if they were. It used to be that they were the only ones who could place ads on Amazon. Not fair!

Trads do not have the power to buy a place on the list directly. You're talking one powerful company versus another and the need on both sides to try to appear honest.

They do buy front-of-bookstore placement, but that does not guarantee bestsellerdom. Jackie Susann and her husband did some manipulating decades ago by sending out people to buy up lots of copies of her book at stores they suspected reported sales to the NYTimes list. But it's still pretty much a secret from where the Times aggregates the sales to compile its rankings.

Oprah recommending your book is still extremely significant, and Reese is also influential. The "everybody is reading it and I want to be like everyone else" phenomenon seems to be what creates bestsellers. But in a fractured media world, I don't know that these pockets of everybody add up the same way they used to.

As we all know, if you join the "right" box set, through various manipulations you can get on the USAToday bestseller list. Then you can put the label on all your own books. Does anybody reading and buying books really believe in that list anymore?

Jenna Bush too, no?  What ever happened to Oprah's new Apple book club?  If she ever actually does that...well that would be sweet.

Do a search for one of your categories. On the left hand side of the screen you can tick the box for "Kindle Unlimited Eligible". That will show only the books in KU. You can scroll through the list to find where your book ranks.

Thanks. I found that, but perhaps I did not drill down far enough. It sometimes seems every author throws their books into every category.

I read somewhere that Jenna's recs are doing better than Oprah's in its prime.

One great thing about Jenna, she and her sister enjoy commercial fiction, so I could see her reccing some "lighter" reads.
