Spur for production
« on: December 19, 2019, 11:36:47 AM »
I started writing slowly to capture the right words.
Then I found out my girlfriend loves expensive gowns.
Now I write fast.

I'm sorry. Is this a joke? Because in general today one would expect the girlfriend to fund her own expensive gowns.

Aside: This reminds me of when things go the other way and men who can't find a woman to date them. Some are part of a movement you've probably heard of--"incels" or involuntarily celibate. I included one in a book I've been fiddling with and keep putting aside, so I'd set up a Google Alert for incels. Over the past week, I've had thirty-four alerts labeling incels as a new terrorist group and commenting about soon-to-come "incel uprisings" and rebellions (an incel in Canada killed ten people with his van last year in a spur-of-the-moment rage against women). I usually get maybe five alerts a month.
