I got a response from KDP, saying both my recent release and current pre-order were getting follower emails sent out started April 18 (18 days after release for the current one, with no pre-order email at all) through to April 28.

Meaning they are spreading them out over 10 days.

This seems to indicate a policy of deliberately slowing down email sending for anything not an actual order, and possibly server overload.

I've not seen the email yet myself, so glad to hear someone did get it. Thank You.
