Ingram sales with their new layout

With Ingram's new format, has anyone found a way to look up sales?!?! I tried their email option and never received an email of my orders.

I've been setting the date for sales from May 1st to yesterday and looking at the screen version. Some sales seemed to have disappeared, of course now I can't prove it.

I think Ingram's come to its senses. Just now I see a section on the home page with sales info!!!

Yup, they added sales.  But the upgrade is still a friggin' disaster.  Just set up two books and had some bad word moments because it was designed by people who have no idea how end users think.  Some things that were intuitive no longer are.  Some things are so badly designed that if you don't follow a precise input path - which isn't the simplest or most common sense one - you get error messages.

I used to be an IT executive before becoming a full-time writer, and I give this upgrade a big stinking "F".  If one of my teams put something like that in production, I'd be having a few choice words with them.

Either some genius developer came up with this on his/her own (and 80% of code monkeys are useless to begin with) or the business analysts working this project didn't develop any use cases, meaning they're equally useless.  The previous design worked. Yes, it was clunky in spots, but it worked.  This design doesn't work as well, it's clunkier, and the idiots actually lost data during the data conversion, which is not just a fail but cause for dismissal in any sane IT organization.

I sent IS an email with some very direct observations a few days ago.  I hope it reached the CIO's desk.

Yep, I do not enjoy the new layout.

Oh the sales thing is better, but I have a book with hardcover, paperback and large print. Can't tell which one(s) sold. In my case if they added the format I could tell since the hardcover is cloth and the large print is laminate and they have room for another column, I guess I will email them and ask them to add that, eventually.

That's a good suggestion. I hope they implement it!

Too bad we can't suggest more like country sold. At least the sales # is posted again.

We can suggest anything. I'm just too lazy right now. :)

Okay, I delazied, happens every Monday morning, like clockwork, it will pass, but I did email Ingram Support this morning and asked them to add format and country to the new home page 30 day sale report area.

They have a banner up that says they are behind on support so I am not expecting it anytime soon, but if you want something in life, not asking is the best way to not get it.

Thanks, Amanda. It'd be awesome if they comply. I think I'm so used to their old clunky format that I don't expect change.

They said you can run a report to see countries, but I guess we have to pick each country and run a report for it? I'm going to poke around with it now.

Hello,

Thank you for your email and feedback!  We apologize for delays in responding as we adjust to our new normal, and we appreciate your patience.

We are recently restored the sales of the last 30 days feature on the website.  I will certainly pass along your suggestion regarding the format column and country sold column to our Web Development team for consideration.

You can view your sales at any time in your Print Sales Report in your Reports tab.  You have the ability to generate sales reports for different countries and formats.  More information on how to run a report can be found here:  Print Sales Report Information

I've had zero luck with their print reports. I send requests and never get the data back. So I hope they take you up on your country column idea.

Ingram has very friendly customer service, it's just super hard to get in touch with them.

Yeah, I messed around with the report, though I didn't actually look at the instructions, so I could have tried harder. Hopefully they just like the idea so much they do it, like soon.
