Paperbacks Amazon vs D2D
« on: May 24, 2020, 02:04:52 AM »
So I was looking at my paperback prices and lowered them to try to sell more. That's when I realized I'm selling print books on D2D and not Amazon. Why? Well, I tried to understand that when they first started the program, and what they said was that Amazon actually sells the D2D print books and that they would show up under other sellers. (I've never actually seen that.)

Problem is, I make twice as much if Amazon prints them than if D2D does. So why were the sales going through D2D instead of Amazon? The only thing I could think of to fix the problem was to make the print books on Amazon cheaper by a few cents than on D2D, thinking the bot would choose the cheaper of the two.

Will Amazon freak out over lower prices than their competitors? I'm so confused.

Will wonders never cease. I've sold 8 paperbacks on Amazon in two days. That's a record for me. I think someone must have rebooted something somewhere and the paperback sales that were behind are catching up. Anybody else seeing this?
