Soliciting Opinions (re: Value)

Friends,

This is a request for unvarnished opinions regarding the value proposition for Book Funnel and Prolific Works.

Reviews are all over the board for both sites. Drilling down to the question of value is challenging. What are your thoughts/experiences with either site?

Cheers,
R.C.

I'm not sure about using it for reviews, but everything I've read is positive for building newsletters.

I like BookFunnel.  I use it for sales promos, and Kindle Unlimited or 99c seem to do the best.

Eventually, I may try some of their other features...like selling directly from my website and having them deliver the ebook.  Still doing research on all that.

Love BookFunnel. I'm using it for ARCs, giveaways, gifting books.

I can't say regarding Prolific Works. I'd love to hear if they're worth it. I think they're free for sign up? I know they've been around for a while.

Don't forget StoryOrigin. I use and like them too.

I don't pay for Prolific Works, I have previews and my permafrees up there. I'm pretty sure from the link clicks that show on Books2Read that people find my books from there. I just started my mailing list a couple of months ago so I have nothing to offer with regard to using them otherwise.

Never used Prolific Works. Had a subscription to Book Funnel and found it was a waste of money. But then, I don't do ARCs or give-aways.

Each one is useful and has its own style. Investigate a little and decide which one you like best. I believe they each have some free or short-term options. I use BookFunnel, which doesn't require a major learning curve.

I've used Book Funnel for years to distribute ARCs and freebies to newsletter subscribers. No complaints and they've made my life a lot easier. I actually kinda love them.
