My Next Read - List Swap
« on: October 11, 2020, 12:11:38 AM »
Lume Books has recently launched Mynextread.co.uk, a deal and free books newsletter.

It is growing really well.

We would like to offer a list swap to authors. We will give you a free slot on the newsletter - for a free of .99 deal - and in return we get a promo on your newsletter.

You get some new readers and so do we - win-win.

If you are interested, PM me.

Matt

I'm not sure I'll ever do a free book again, and a 99c will only happen if I get a Bookbub.

So I'm not any use to you.

The whole free thing doesn't work for me anymore, once I figured out how much money I was leaving on the table by having a permafree.

What I do want though is a new release announcement service for full priced books. With Amazon no longer sending out follower emails, we need a new way of getting the message out of new releases.

But every new service that comes along is just re-inventing the same old free and 99c wheel.

Good luck with that though.
Genres: Space Opera/Fantasy/Cyberpunk, with elements of LitRPG and GameLit, with a touch of the Supernatural. Also Spiritual and Games.

Fair enough.

We find it works well for our books.

Hi - I have a permafree up at the moment, and I'm organising 5 free days for a friend in a week's time. (She's a brand new author and could use the exposure.)

If it were one or the other I'd choose to help the friend, as she's just starting out whereas I'm a grizzled veteran.

Do you mean a swap whereby I mention your newsletter, or certain books you're promoting at the time?

My mailing list has 3200 subscribers btw.

Simon - By  a swap, I mean we plug your book, and you plus our newsletter. We have 2,800 subs right now, so it is a similar number. Let me know if you would like to give it a try. Best, Matt

Yep sure thing. Do you have anything going out between the 15th-19th Oct by any chance?  That's when my friend's freebie period is. (Times are based on the 'amazon standard' for free days.)
