Beverage of Choice?
« on: September 27, 2018, 03:28:03 AM »
Now I have "Weapon of Choice" stuck in my head  grint

Anyhoo, as you write, what do you drink?

I waffle around between coffee and tea, depending on how much I'm willing to spend at the local coffee shop. They have crappy tea options though...

Moccona instant coffee. They just ruined the '5' medium blend so I've started buying the '8' dark blend instead.

Danish soft drink called Faxe Kondi. Probably the thing I would miss the most if I ever moved away from this country   :icon_redface:

Crazy owl lady. I also occasionally write Fantasy books, but the owl is really all anyone cares about.

Coffee (aeropress for the win!). I drink the equivalent of 3 shots of espresso, but made into an Americano, every morning. Fiji water or purified water.  A tiny little mocha after midday meal. Some home-made sweet tea, but with stevia instead of sugar.

I'm not a huge drinker at all. Can't stand feeling out of control. I do like Viking Blod Mead and will have a tiny one every now and then. Also like Moscato d'Asti very rarely. I wish I liked all those wonderful brown liquids everyone else seems to enjoy. I tasted some scotches and honestly, the 30 year aged stuff tasted no different than the cheap stuff. Sad, but true.

Science Fiction is my game.

Coffee in the morning - used to be Chemex all the way, but the AirBnB we stayed at recently had a Nespresso machine, so the first think I did when we got back was buy one. Topo Chico, tap water, or tea the rest of the day. Wine or a G&T in the evening.

No soft drinks or sweet drinks - I never developed the taste for them.

LOL. Me, too. Coffee in the morning and one in the afternoon, other than that it's water. :)

It depends on the time of day. Coffee is my morning choice. A glass of skim milk with lunch. One Diet Coke for early to mid-afternoon. Later in the day, a glass or two of a full-bodied cabernet sauvignon is my first choice although a bottle of Pacifico Light with lots of lime is an occasional substitute, but it's nothing but filtered water most evenings.

70% unsweetened tea.
30% lemonade.
Splash of rose water.

Mighty tasty.

Or, an adult beverage.

Cheers,

Writing at home it's almost always tea with milk - usually English Breakfast, occasionally Earl Grey.  And on the (rare) hot days, fizzy water with ginger and lemongrass cordial.

Out and about, give me a flat white. Now. Or a strong latte. (With current commitments, I don't get to cafes as much as I used to - coffee-shop coffee is one thing I truly miss.)

Now really craving a flat white.

Coffee or tea (Scottish Breakfast to no one's surprise) most of the time. But occasionally whisky or wine is called for.
