Books can be straightforward retellings of myths, modern adaptations, or books that borrow significant mythical elements to tell a different story. So far, the promo has some of each.
New authors are welcome, even if you don't yet have much of a mailing list. We all have to start somewhere. Just share as much as you are able. I'd also recommend joining mailing list building promos to increase your reach over time.
For those of you not yet involved with Bookfunnel, I find it can be a good source of sales, with a better conversion rate than AMS ads for a lower cost. (Individual promos are free, but Bookfunnel does charge monthly or annually for their plans that give you access to promos and other features, cost depending on which plan you pick.)

People who visit these promo pages are actually looking for books to buy, so in that sense they're a more receptive audience than people browsing on FB, for example.
