We adopted him last year from a local shelter. He is a two-year-old border collie/pit bull mix. His hobbies include pretending to be a lap dog, teaching himself how to play fetch (don't ask), and mooching food. He recently discovered that his predecessor was a "highly respected" book critic so now he wants to get involved in the publishing industry. And so I have agreed to let him serve as the Honorary Judge for this year's writing competition.
And in honor of our Honorary Judge and shelter animals everywhere, this year's competition will benefit local animal shelters. The winners of this year's writing competition will be able to direct the charity portion of their prize to their own local animal shelter.
