Welcome to the official "we write 1k words or less a week" group! Obviously, we can be in this group and write a lot more than 1k a week, but since I'm not writing tonight...I'm going to get kicked out of the other group.

If you'd like to finish your book (but life happens at least once a week) then this is the group for you! LOL

I've written more here today than I've written in my fiction all week. Probably can toss in all of last week too. I don't know what to think about that.

I guess I could put all my forum posts in a book, upload it to Kindle and prove to the company that owns that other forum how their TOS rights grab really isn't going to benefit them. LOL.

Before the site went down, I was going to report I wrote 89 words Monday. Yay! Yesterday, I rewrote one word. I'm thinking there may be a pattern developing. Maybe I'll shoot for 90 words today.

Haven't done my 90 words yet. Didn't get done with work until 1 a.m. I still have nine hours and fifteen minutes to write those 90 words and still count for today.

Do we have to write less than 1k words a week always to be accepted into this group? I mean, sometimes I write 10k words in a day and other times I spend the entire week watching funny animal videos on youtube. I have issues with commitment, so if that's what you're expecting from members of this thread, I'll have to move on

Any amount of words is fine. We're a very accepting group!

But if you don't write at least 1k words a week, you can still be here.

honestly, what with life, back injuries, illnesses, the wife being ill, I haven't written a word in months. I guess that kind of qualifies me for this thread? 2018 is the year that broke my flow. Oh well. I'll get back into things somehow.

Average the weeks out over your entire lifetime. There you go! Most of us have a couple of years at the start skewing the numbers down.

Has this past year been tough for anyone else? I mean as far as focusing, creatively? Just with all of the sh*tty stuff going on...it feels like every day is the new worst day ever. I swear I keep meaning to make a doomsday clock, except it's counting down to Gilead.

Been more than a year though. I'm working on a space opera I had planned to finish by the end of 2016. I'm still barely halfway done.

Been working on a short story for several months now. A short story. Still not done.

Same with the tons of other stuff I'm working on.

I wrote 183 words in one novel and 3 words in another yesterday. Seemed like more than that.

I'm at 11 for today so far.
