AMS ads

For the first time ever I'm making more money than I spend on AMS ads. Why? Not sure, but I turned off all but the two or three targets that were getting the most clicks. Can it be that a lot of targets means the system splits between them according to where it thinks the book fits best? Therefore, the book shows up on "Products related to this item" (sponsored) lists more often, or higher, if it only has three to choose from?

Is that possible?

I think it is entirely possible. In my year-long experiment in marketing, Marti, what you describe is the next iteration.

Q: R.C. Why did you not try that sooner?

A: Turning off targets is counter to recommendations and the theory of "mass marketing." Unless you are buying a SuperBowl spot, more is better. Right?

It is my contention, micro targeting has always been a viable choice but is becoming the new norm.

Example: I created and ran a highly-targeted 20 second video ad on the Googles. I have more hits, more buys, and WAY more interaction from the micro targeting and video than any other single format.

Where the Zon AMS is not granular enough, FB and the Googs allow for a well-defined target audience.

Cheers,
R.C.

Thanks R.C. I have no excuse for not thinking of it sooner. Google and FB ads are too complicated for my simple mind. I'm switching from FB to MeWe, which allows me to run an ad for a month, for $1.99. I'm new there, so just learning how to get people to go to my page and/or where the ads show up. Sigh, so much to do and not enough time to do it.
